GENERAL SUMMARY
Anchorage Sand & Gravel Co., Inc. in Alaska is looking for a
Construction Materials Testing Technician:
Sample and perform laboratory and field testing on concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregate, block and cement to ensure compliance with
ASTM/ ACI
specifications and standards in a fast-paced quality control laboratory. This position requires the ability to represent Anchorage Sand & Gravel to customers and third-party agencies. Prepare reports as directed for internal distribution and/ or specific agencies.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have good math, record keeping, problem solving and computer skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor. Willing to work 6 days a week, long hours and early start times while maintaining a positive attitude. High School Diploma. Valid Alaska Driver's License. Basic understanding of computers and excel spreadsheets. ACI, NICET, NCMA and WAQTC certification is preferred. Prior experience testing materials in the lab and field is valuable; however, training and certification opportunities will be provided. Professional and courteous attitude towards team members as well as customers and third-party agencies.
