Our facility operates under strict regulatory and quality standards, emphasizing accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement in a clean, organized production environment. Position Summary The Manual Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections of medical device components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong experience using precision measuring tools and a high attention to detail in a regulated manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform manual inspections of machined medical device components Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparators Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements Verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes meet specifications Document inspection results accurately according to GMP and quality system requirements Identify and report nonconforming material and potential quality issues Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve issues Maintain a clean and organized inspection area Follow ISO 13485, FDA, and company quality procedures at all times Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of inspection experience in manufacturing Hands-on experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation Preferred Qualifications Experience in medical device, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing industries Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA/QSR requirements Experience inspecting tight-tolerance components CMM experience is a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment Stable work schedule and opportunities for growth Equal Opportunity Employer We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
