Birmingham, Alabama, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Quality Inspector for a contract opportunity with our client in Birmingham, Alabama. Overview This role involves performing manual visual inspections of final products, operating basic equipment, and supporting quality standards to ensure product conformity. Responsibilities Perform manual visual inspection of the final product
Manipulate each unit and check for flaws or nonconformities as outlined by procedures and criteria
Operate basic equipment and carry out routine tasks
Follow strict, detailed instructions during operational tasks
Conduct finished product sampling, labeling, and final packaging
Assist with equipment and appliance installation, maintenance, and repair following detailed instructions
Support the quality function by working within strict quality standards
Adhere to mandatory work instructions to safeguard environmental and personnel safety Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred
Documentation of 20/20 near visual acuity or better (i.e., 20/14)
No color blindness
Physically able to sit or stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions with short breaks
Able to use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate for hazards and exposure potential
Able to record detailed numerical data legibly and perform basic math
Effective elementary verbal communication skills under supervision
Work with guidance to develop, interpret, and understand policies and procedures
Identify, assess, and manage risks at an elementary level under supervision
Motivate and support colleagues to learn, grow, and develop to help achieve organizational goals
