QA & QC Technician - Alere

JOB SUMMARY

The QA & QC Technician's main focus is to ensure QA/QC compliance of raw and processed materials through laboratory testing, as well as the loading of bulk pneumatic tanker trucks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Comply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and Procedures Operate laboratory testing equipment including muffle furnaces, drying ovens, and weigh scales Record, retain, and distribute laboratory results Operate an instrument control panel Communicate clear instructions via CB radio Maintain a professional environment Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to competently navigate Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook Able to accurately read digital scale readouts to within (+/-) 5/10,000th of a gram. Able to prioritize tasks and complete assigned duties in a timely manner

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The employee should have the following: High School Graduate or equivalent 1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to: Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out Prolong standing or in stationary position Complete repetitive movements Bend and/or twist Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds Ability to move or traverse about the facilities Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection) This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of job related responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions.
