Job Description

Saw and Material Technician Old Mill Iron - Northern Alabama Experienced Applicants Only - Please Read Qualifications Before Applying Old Mill Iron is seeking a skilled and dependable Saw and Material Technician to join our manufacturing team. This is a critical position that keeps our production process running efficiently by ensuring materials are measured, cut, organized, and delivered accurately throughout the shop. We are looking for professionals with experience in metal manufacturing who understand the importance of precision, safety, and teamwork. Responsibilities Safely and accurately measure and cut steel and aluminum materials. Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure and other measuring tools. Load and unload large metal materials and delivery trucks. Operate forklifts and other shop equipment safely and efficiently. Transport and organize materials throughout the manufacturing facility. Maintain accurate material inventory and stock organization. Supply welders and fabrication teams with materials needed to keep production moving. Assist with receiving, staging, and preparing materials for fabrication. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications Experience is

Required:
Experience working in a metal manufacturing or fabrication facility. Experience safely cutting and handling metal materials. Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform precise material cuts. Experience loading and unloading trucks and handling heavy materials. Forklift experience and the ability to operate machinery safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Reliable transportation and excellent attendance. Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team. Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
Preferred:
Current forklift certification. Welding or fabrication experience (a plus but not required). Experience working alongside welders and fabrication crews. Inventory control and material management experience. Schedule Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Full-time, 40 hours per week Pay $17.00 - $19.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
