Job Description

Overview:
Summary The Plastics QC Senior Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products produced within the facility meet or exceed customer expectations for quality, coordinating with suppliers and customers when issues arise, as well as investigating and implementing countermeasures to control quality issues.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.) Assist and lead in development of New Car Project department projects Work directly with CKD suppliers to improve part Quality and reliability Evaluate and maintain production samples for conformance to specifications Assist in development of work standards for the Plastics plant Ensure that Quality operations supporting clinical product release are efficient, effective, and meet target timeframes from both a compliance and business perspective Act as Quality representative for suppliers and customers as required Work with production to solve customer/product issues through in-depth analysis using QC tools Perform immediate measures for control and containment of quality issues Maintain all test and production equipment and/or calibration of such equipment Lead and assist in quality investigations including product complaint follow-up Participate in site or global projects and improvement efforts, as needed Assemble and prepare production samples for required testing at customer site Process product rejections and perform rework as needed Collect and evaluate process data regarding product rejects in order to formulate innovative solutions Prompt, regular, predictable attendance Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours Overtime and weekend work as required All other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good Presentation skills Good Analytical skills Ability to break down and inspect mechanical systems
Preferred Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Automotive manufacturing experience Knowledge of SAP system Knowledge of 5-Panel problem solving methodologies Process auditing and data management skills Working Conditions This position works approximately 50% at Mobis, 50% at the Hyundai OEM plant in Montgomery, AL Work at OEM takes place approximately 70% indoors, 30% outdoors Work at Mobis takes place approximately 50% in office, 50% on production floor Occasionally lifting 30-50 lbs. Domestic and international travel as needed
