Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled CMM Operator to perform dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Set up, fixture, and align parts for CMM inspection. Run inspection programs using CMM software (PolyWorks, KEYENCE, or similar). Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements. Generate inspection reports and document measurement results. Identify and report non-conforming parts. Perform manual measurements using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve dimensional and quality issues. Follow established quality procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Metrology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is preferred. 1-3+ years of CMM or precision inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and statistical process control (SPC). Experience with CMM software and inspection reporting. Proficient with precision measuring instruments. Welding, fabrication, and/or automotive manufacturing experience is an asset. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
