Basic Job Functions:
The Quality Management Systems Technician (QST) is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949 and
ISO 9001
standards . This role serves as a change agent to drive quality system effectiveness, support compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across assigned areas. The QST works closely with operations, leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure processes meet internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two-year College degree or equivalent work experience related to the job position Experience in quality system components such as described above Competent in
Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in implementing or maintaining a Quality Management System Experience in manufacturing industry quality control/systems - minimum 2 years' experience Auditing Experience AIAG Core tools awareness/training - e.g. Risk Assessment, Measurement Systems Analysis; PPAP Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
