Job Title:
Quality Inspector Job Description The Quality Inspector ensures products consistently meet established quality standards throughout the entire manufacturing process. This role conducts detailed audits and inspections, analyzes data to identify trends, and collaborates closely with engineering, development, and operations teams to prevent defects and drive continuous improvement. The position also manages MRB (Material Review Board) activities, oversees equipment calibration and maintenance records, and communicates quality findings clearly to stakeholders through meetings, reports, and presentations. Responsibilities Conduct thorough audits and inspections of products and processes to identify, document, and address quality issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, development, and operations, to ensure quality is maintained throughout the product lifecycle. Communicate quality issues, nonconformities, and findings clearly and promptly to relevant stakeholders. Participate in meetings and presentations to share quality information, inspection results, and updates on improvement initiatives. Lead and motivate a team of quality inspectors to achieve high standards of performance and accuracy. Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to quality team members to enhance their skills and ensure consistent inspection practices. Manage MRB (Material Review Board) meetings, including the review and disposition of nonconforming materials and products. Review equipment calibration, validation, and maintenance records to ensure they are completed correctly, accurately documented, and performed on schedule. Apply quality control and quality assurance tools and techniques to prevent defects and improve processes. Perform detailed quality inspections to verify that products meet established specifications and standards. Use data analysis and reporting to identify quality trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement. Maintain clear, accurate, and organized records of inspection results and quality-related documentation. Work closely with production personnel and quality management to resolve quality concerns and implement corrective and preventive actions. Ensure that quality inspection activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Support production activities such as quality checks and paint preparation as needed to maintain overall product quality. Essential Skills Extensive experience in quality control with a strong ability to identify and correct defects in finished products through inspections and testing. Strong experience in quality assurance, focusing on proactive processes that prevent defects by managing and improving the overall production process. Solid experience in quality inspection, ensuring products or services consistently meet defined quality standards. 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of quality inspection within manufacturing processes and workflows. Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Excellent visual acuity and the ability to identify even minor defects in products and components. Familiarity with industry quality standards and regulations applicable to manufacturing. Ability to interpret quality data, identify trends, and use insights to drive quality improvement initiatives. Clear and accurate record-keeping skills for documenting inspection results and quality findings. Effective communication skills for interacting with production personnel, quality management, and other stakeholders. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to guide and support a team of inspectors. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting related to quality metrics and inspection outcomes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with quality assurance and quality control tools and techniques. Experience in production and quality checks within a manufacturing setting.

The position requires good manual dexterity, including coordination of both hands and multi-limb movements, to handle precision measuring tools and inspection tasks. Personal protective equipment is required and provided, reflecting a strong emphasis on safety. The facility includes electric charging stations and is designed to support efficient, high-quality manufacturing operations. Shift details may vary based on production needs Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
