Full Job Description Position Summary:
Assist in planning and development of systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department. Supervise and Schedule staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Pre Requisites:
Proficient as Bilingual English/Spanish (Speech, Reading and Writing skills) Knowledge of office & manufacturing processes, Supervisory Experience in Food Industry (2+ years) Strong analysis skills Ability to work a flexible schedule Strong
USDA/FDA
regulatory knowledge Understanding of plant sanitation, HACCP, SSOP and GMP programs
General Responsibilities & Requirements:
Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the dept Analyze and document dept processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies Supervise staff in accordance with company policies, procedures & GMP's Coach and develop your team Organize staff scheduling to include: work assignments, training, vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, and back up for absent employees Effective communication with your team and within your team Effective interdepartmental communication 100% execution on daily tasks, projects & objectives Demonstrate thorough follow up skills Execution of all company disciplinary procedures Enforce all dept Standard Operating Procedures Maintain a team environment and high employee moral Display & demand professional conduct at all times Occasional travel to Arizona facility for training purposes Execution and delegation of all product evaluations, plant self audits, and all relevant daily paperwork. Liaison to USDA IIC or any other regulatory body in Absence of QA Director Monitoring of all record keeping for departments associated with SQF Perform scheduled duties when necessary with team including Pre-op, Operational Inspection, Batch log temperature monitoring, product evaluations, sampling, yield testing, weight measuring. Assist in training of all new department hires
