Full Job Description Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the Department Quality Plans. Manages DISCUS and Net-Inspect as well as the tracking and maintenance of all AS9102 first article reports and applicable certifications and documentation. Schedule and oversee all Source Inspection. Work directly with Document Control and scheduling to assure ship dates are met and shipping documents as well as certification packages meet all Customer requirements as well as complying with the Quality Management System. Provide backup support for the Quality Manager when required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform work in accordance to the AS 9100 Standard and assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining same. Interpret complex Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance drawings and perform routine and complex inspection as required. Perform, complete and review AS 9102 First Article reports and submit to customers as required. Work in cooperation with manufacturing to meet shipping schedules. Use DISCUS program to complete
AS 9102 FAI
forms as needed. Work to continuously improve inspection processes, procedures and QMS. Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system as well as customer requirements. Must possess excellent communication skills and utilize same to interact effectively with all organization levels and customers both verbally and in electronic correspondence.

Perform mechanical inspection activities and other QA/QC activities as needed. Required Skills/Abilities:
Minimum five years related experience with AS9100 quality programs. Must be able to communicate positively and effectively with internal and external customers. Must have excellent written communication skills. Must be proficient in Excel. Must be proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing applications. Minimum five years related experience in DISCUS and NetInspect Must be knowledgeable of audits, certifications, standards and process management. Must be flexible to respond to changes in work instruction, schedules and environment. Must be able to observe all safety rules associated with a shop environment. Must have a strong working knowledge of military specifications.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 5 years related experience with AS9100 quality programs. Vocational/technical school training is preferred. AS9100 Quality Programs, including DISCUS, NetInspect and applicable Customer Supplier databases
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time. Must have excellent handeye coordination. Must be able to bend, stretch, and squat to access all parts of the machine.
