Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector with a strong aerospace background. This role inspects incoming sheet metal parts, machined components, and raw materials, reviews Certificates of Conformance (CofCs), and performs final shipping inspection for aerospace customers and outside process vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience operating portable Romer arm CMMs; programming experience is not required. If that sounds like you, please apply.
Responsibilities:
Receive aerospace sheet metal and machined parts, verify counts, and perform various inspections. Perform dimensional and visual inspections to AS9100 and customer specifications using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges. Verify supplier CofCs, material certifications, and other aerospace quality documents. Inspect completed aerospace components before shipment to customers and vendors. Package per aerospace packaging standards (Boeing D6-51991, Lockheed Martin). Operate Romer and Hexagon portable CMM arms (required). Create AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and other quality documentation. Follow
ITAR/EAR
export control requirements for aerospace parts. Coordinate shipments, schedule pickups, and operate forklift/pallet jack.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in aerospace quality inspection, shipping, and receiving. Strong knowledge of AS9100 quality standards. Experience operating a Romer CMM arm. Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Skilled in inspection tools:
