Quality Control Inspector Bria Works Manufacturing (BWM) Barstow, CA Full-Time About Bria Works Manufacturing Bria Works Manufacturing (BWM) is a state-of-the-art American quartz surface manufacturing facility located in Barstow, California. As part of the Bria family of companies, we are committed to producing premium quartz surfaces with exceptional quality, consistency, and craftsmanship. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to help ensure that every slab leaving our facility meets our high standards. Position Summary The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished quartz slabs to ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer specifications. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product consistency, identifying defects, and supporting continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent observational skills, and the ability to work closely with production, maintenance, and management teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
  • Inspect finished quartz slabs for color consistency, pattern accuracy, surface quality, dimensions, thickness, and overall appearance.
  • Identify, document, and report defects including cracks, chips, scratches, contamination, polishing issues, and dimensional variations.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to verify compliance with established standards.
  • Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and non-conformance documentation.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action investigations when quality issues arise.
  • Verify calibration and proper operation of measurement and testing equipment.
  • Work closely with production supervisors to resolve quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor incoming raw materials and ensure materials meet quality requirements before production.
  • Perform final inspections prior to packaging and shipment.
  • Maintain quality control samples and reference standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, safety, and quality initiatives.
  • Support customer complaint investigations and quality audits as needed. Qualifications Required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle defects.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic reports.
  • Ability to read and follow quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and make objective quality decisions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and inspect materials throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. Preferred
  • Previous experience in manufacturing quality control, inspection, or quality assurance.
  • Experience with stone, quartz, construction materials, ceramics, glass, or similar products.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, tape measures, thickness gauges, and inspection equipment.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
  • OSHA or quality-related certifications are a plus. Key Skills
