Description:
You will be the Manager, Materials & Processes for the Materials & Processes team which is responsible for advancing low observable material technologies for specialized platform applications. What You Will Be Doing As the Manager, Materials & Processes you will be responsible for leading a unique facility and engineering team dedicated to the development, manufacture, and transition of cutting‑edge low observable materials.Your responsibilities will include:
Lead development, manufacturing, and transition of Low Observable Material technologies. Define site‑level strategic vision and create roadmaps for team growth and success. Conduct design analysis and collaborate with LM disciplines, universities, and external partners. Produce technical white papers, proposals, and presentations for internal and external customers. Oversee equipment maintenance, capital planning, and budget/resource management. Basic Qualifications:
- -Demonstrated ability in creating and production of thin film materials
- -Experience developing, qualifying, and transitioning various LO Material types to production
- -Experienced in Material Characterization Test Methods
- -Experience with building and cultivating customer relationships
- -IRAD & CRAD management skills
- Ability to obtain a
TS Clearance Desired Skills:
- -Advanced thin film materials knowledge
- -LO material design experience
- -Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- -Advanced knowledge in fundamental EM theories
- -Experience with Leading Represented and Salaried Personnel
- -Experience with team-level budgets, resource management, strategic vision and roadmap development
- -Experience leading program LO Materials activities
- -Experience creating white papers and proposals

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for thisPosition:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per weekPay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900- $216,660.
Benefits offered:
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $141,300- $244,835.
