We are an established AS9100 aerospace machine shop specializing in high-precision prototype and short-run machining. Our shop has built a reputation over decades for producing accurate parts quickly, and many of our employees have been with us for many years. We are seeking a highly experienced aerospace inspector with strong technical ability in both CMM programming and traditional manual inspection methods . This position requires someone who can confidently program and operate a DCC (CNC) CMM running CMM Manager software with a Renishaw PH20 head , as well as perform precise inspections manually using surface plate methods and traditional inspection equipment. This is not a training position. We are looking for someone who is already highly proficient in the skills listed below. Requirements Minimum 10 years inspecting machined aerospace parts Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T Experience preparing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports using Excel Advanced proficiency programming and operating a DCC CMM using CMM Manager software in an aerospace environment Extensive hands-on experience using a Renishaw PH20 probe system Strong proficiency with manual inspection on a surface plate , including height gages, indicators, micrometers, bore gages, and other precision inspection tools Comfortable using Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to professionally communicate with machinists, management, customers, and source inspectors Experience with Net-Inspect, JobBoss & Unipoint is a plus but not required. Most inspection in our shop is performed manually on a surface plate, so strong traditional inspection skills are essential. Work Environment Our shop produces precision aerospace hardware where accuracy, documentation, and traceability are critical . This position requires a high level of focus, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Attention to detail is critical in this position. Personal cell phone use is limited to breaks, lunch periods, and emergency situations. Growth Opportunity This is primarily a hands-on inspection position . A candidate who demonstrates strong technical ability, leadership, and reliability may have the opportunity to take on additional responsibility over time. Because we are a smaller shop, all supervisors and managers are working leaders . Any advancement would still involve performing inspection work while serving as the go-to person for the department and coordinating the work of other inspectors. Schedule Typical work week is 44-52 hours depending on workload .
