CNC Full Job Description CMM Programmer Location:
Chino, CA Shift:
Monday to Friday (6AM-2:30PM)
Pay:
$30.00 - $45.00 (DOE) Responsibilities Develop and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS or similar software to perform precise dimensional inspections of machined parts and assemblies Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure measurement accuracy Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators Conduct comprehensive quality inspections in accordance with
ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO
13485, and ASME codes & standards to verify conformance to specifications Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve measurement discrepancies and improve inspection processes Maintain detailed inspection records, calibration logs, and quality documentation for audit purposes Support quality assurance initiatives by performing dimensional inspections aligned with tooling, machining, and CAD models created in SolidWorks or other CAD software Requirements Proven experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS or Calypso software in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and schematic interpretation Familiarity with
ISO 9001, AS9100
aerospace standards, ISO 13485 medical device standards, and ASME codes & standards for quality control Mechanical knowledge of tooling, machining processes, CNC operations, and precision measuring instruments Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately while applying math skills for measurement calculations Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks for part analysis and inspection planning Knowledge of calibration procedures for precision instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; proactive approach to quality assurance initiatives Preferred Qualifications Experience using Romer Arm / Portable CMM . Background in aerospace, automotive, medical device, or precision machining industries. Knowledge of
ISO 9001 , IATF 16949
, or similar quality systems.
