This role conducts basic to moderately complex inspections, reviews quality documentation, and assists in evaluating corrective actions and process improvements to support product reliability and compliance. All work is performed in accordance with ACM policies, procedures, and applicable industry standards.
ITAR Requirement:
This position requires the use of information which is subject to compliance with International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR). To conform to U.S. Government export regulations/ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of parts and assemblies to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Utilize standard measuring tools and inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to validate product dimensions and requirements
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality documentation
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records in accordance with company procedures
- Identify nonconforming products and support disposition processes in coordination with Quality and Manufacturing teams
- Assist in the investigation and documentation of corrective actions and process improvements
- Verify compliance with quality management system requirements (e.g., AS9100, customer-specific standards)
- Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ISO and AS quality management systems and processes preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not necessary
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proficient in the use of standard inspection and measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, depth gauges)
- Working knowledge of basic mathematics and geometry as applied to inspection activities
- Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements in accordance with AS9102 preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including
Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience inspecting aerospace components, including dimensional inspection using standard measurement tools and equipment
- Must have a good command of the English language, be able to read, write and follow written instructions in English.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and aerospace specifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of quality inspection principles, methods, and practices within an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Understanding of industry standards and quality systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO)
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and established methods and procedures
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and nonconformities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective documentation and cross-functional collaboration
- Effective team player with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use standard inspection and measuring equipment accurately and consistently
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including data entry and use of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, tools, and quality requirements
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as in a team environment
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Full-time work on the manufacturing floor.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Must lift, carry, push, or pull materials and components up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, and varying temperatures; appropriate PPE and hearing protection are required.
- Must follow all safety procedures and maintain awareness in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
