Oldcastle Infrastructure - Built For Life from Oldcastle Infrastructure on Vimeo. Job Summary The Quality Control Inspector performs quality checks on the production floor. Job Responsibilities Monitor production activities Verify that procedures are followed in accordance with all specification requirements by establishing a line of communication with production leads Monitor Production daily activities to ensure that proper batching, placement and curing techniques are being performed Closely monitor all test data to ensure compliance with all specification requirements Notify the Quality Control Manager of any deviation from those requirements Control the movement of items from various stages of production Monitor and mark items as necessary to ensure completion in a controlled and timely manner Be aware of specific requirements for each job by familiarizing yourself with Quality System Procedure Manuals on a regular basis Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections of precast/prestress concrete products Complete and document all testing records and inspections in a well-organized system and backup all records on the network server Perform all testing at regularly required intervals (Concrete Testing, Unit weight, moisture, weekly standard checks, D-loads, gradations and dry fits) Maintain a clean and safe work area Other duties as may be assigned by the Quality Control Manager Take proactive steps to reduce/eliminate detailing operations Document all repairs and identify the cause Initiate maintenance requests and corrective actions as necessary Report all major defects to the Quality Control Manager as soon as possible Job Requirements At least 5 years experience in QC and/or concrete testing ACI Field Tech I Quality control certification a min. PCI level I, II or III a plus Knowledge of how to read and interpret shop/engineering drawings Must maintain clear and precise record keeping Must have familiarity and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Work with the engineering department to ensure drawings and products are consistent Good attendance and positive attitude a must Must be a team player Must possess a desire to learn Must be self-motivated Must be able to work quickly in a fast paced environment Must be willing to assist in training and perform hands on activities with other employees for learning and training purposes Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
