7:30 AM•11:30 AM Overview SkillsetGroup is seeking an experienced IPC-Certified Quality Inspector for a leading aerospace and electronics manufacturing company. This position is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), electrical assemblies, wire harnesses, cables, and manufactured components to ensure compliance with customer specifications, IPC standards, and AS9100 quality requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a current or recently expired IPC-A-610 and/or
IPC-A-600
certification and have hands-on experience inspecting electronic assemblies in a regulated manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products per engineering drawings, customer specifications, purchase orders, and AS9100 requirements Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of PCBAs, electrical assemblies, wire harnesses, cables, machined components, and molded parts Verify workmanship and product acceptance criteria in accordance with IPC-A-610 and
IPC-A-600
standards Utilize calipers, micrometers, rulers, microscopes, multimeters, and other inspection equipment to verify product conformity Conduct final customer verification inspections to ensure quality requirements are met prior to shipment Identify, segregate, and document nonconforming materials; issue red tags and initiate nonconformance reports (NCRs) Accurately record and maintain inspection data within ERP systems to ensure traceability and compliance Support First Article Inspections (AS9102), internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives Follow ESD controls, ISO 9001, AS9100, and ITAR compliance requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment Qualifications Current IPC-A-610 and/or
IPC-A-600
certification strongly preferred Candidates with recently expired IPC certifications may be considered if certification can be renewed Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience within electronics, aerospace, or manufacturing environments Experience inspecting PCBAs, electronic assemblies, wire harnesses, or cable assemblies Strong understanding of blueprint reading, workmanship standards, and inspection documentation Proficient with microscopes, visual magnification devices, and mechanical measuring equipment Experience working within
AS9100, ISO
9001, or similar quality systems Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP systems Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and documentation accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
