The Process Technician must be proficient in various technical skills, such as rework, parts salvage and using specialized software and machinery. Additionally, Process Technicians will conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to resolve defects and improve processes. The Process Technician members work in dedicated pitches with production while others are more mobile throughout the shop. The role requires flexibility and a good understanding of the PCS2 assembly shop. What You'll Do Understand quality bottlenecks or gating items, within scope or assigned area of responsibility Monitor key dashboards (Top Quality gates & TFR dashboard) Ensure initial quality standards are met. Support zero defect flow out from station or responsible area Trouble shooting and diagnostics of NC (Self test) Root causing of impact damage / cosmetic damage NC & communicating back to responsible shops Establish effective countermeasures for quality flow out by conducting thorough root cause investigation and analysis and implementing timely corrective actions What You'll Bring 2+ years experience in automotive or electronic board diagnosis, servicing, and repair techniques Ability to leverage general diagnostic skills (multimeter and wiring schematic interpretation, torque tool usage, etc.) Ability to feedback defects and defect trends to Inline Quality and Production leadership teams Ability to apply critical thinking skillset to engage and troubleshoot new quality issues Ability to use electronic tools to document, communicate and resolve quality issues (IE - MOS, electronic inspection applications, mattermost, etc.) Ability to have strong personable skills in verbal and written communication as well as influence Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $28.75 - $42.73/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
