West Valley Staffing Group is currently seeking Quality Technicians (Primary Compute Suite) for a great Long-Term Contract opportunity in Fremont, CA . The Role Our client is revolutionizing the transportation industry through autonomous mobility. We are seeking a Quality Technician specifically for the Primary Compute Unit (PCU) and Compute Suite production line. In this role, you will ensure the quality and integrity of the "intelligence" behind the vehicle, performing inspections and troubleshooting on complex, software-controlled electro-mechanical assemblies.
Core Responsibilities Full-Cycle Inspection:
Execute IQC, IPQC, and OQC for a wide range of components, including PCBAs, castings, injection moldings, and high-level electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
Technical Measurement:
Utilize precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and Digital Volt Meters (DVM) to verify hardware specs.
Data Management:
Input inspection results into quality databases and maintain meticulous records in compliance with ISO and internal regulatory standards.
Traceability:
Manage the physical and virtual movement of serialized products throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
Non-Conformance & MRB:
Identify and initiate non-conformances, participate in root cause analysis (RCA), and assist engineering teams with Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions.
Compliance & Calibration:
Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ISO requirements and assist with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation.
Key Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
4+ years of progressive QA experience in a serialized, automated production environment.
Sector Background:
Experience in Automotive, Aerospace, Robotics, or Medical Device manufacturing is required.
Technical Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with SAP/Oracle ERP systems and MS Office/Google Suite.
Competencies:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage tight deadlines and complex hardware demands.
Bonus Qualifications Specialized Experience:
Previous experience in high-end computer/rack assembly , testing, and troubleshooting.
Industry Standards:
Working knowledge of
ISO 9001, IATF
16949, or
ISO 13485
