Job Summary:
Robar Enterprises is hiring a talented Quality Control Technician to join our team. If you're excited to be part of a winning team, Robar is a great place to grow your career. The Quality Control Technician will assist the Quality Control Manager with optimizing the efficiency and productivity of plants by testing and analyzing data and working through any issues at project sites. Responsibilities Responsible for pulling samples from stockpiles, testing and evaluating materials, and comparing it to specifications. Testing to include moisture content, slump, density, air content, cylinders, etc. Responsible for quality control testing and reporting duties in the aggregates and concrete testing laboratory. Perform gradation tests on rock and sand samples along with tests such as cleanliness values, #200 wash, sand equivalency. Perform job site inspection and testing on concrete pours. The ability to effectively communicate with outside inspectors. Enter test results into the database and distribute reports as required Maintain work area and office equipment in a safe and clean condition at all times Perform sample preparations and standard quality tests on construction aggregates and concrete. Perform sampling and testing of concrete and aggregates in accordance with ASTM standards and local government agencies Work with plant operators, co-workers, and drivers Education High school diploma/GED ACI certification is preferred Requirements/Qualifications 2+ years' experience Job requires the following motions: climbing, bending, squatting, lifting, stretching, driving, riding, vibration, twisting, pushing/pulling of controls, and riding on rough terrain Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds Use of hand tools Exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather Ability to follow company policies; work cooperatively with others Obtain and maintain all necessary OSHA and MSHA training certifications Ability to build and maintain good working relationships Familiarity with & ability to follow
