In this role, you will be responsible for developing, programming, and operating Mitutoyo Crysta-Apex (CMM) to ensure the highest quality standards for precision components. Your expertise will help maintain rigorous quality control, support manufacturing processes, and uphold compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and ASME codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment focused on precision engineering and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Develop and write CMM programs using MCOSMOS suite or similar software to accurately measure complex parts and assemblies. Set up and calibrate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure precise measurements aligned with engineering specifications. Perform dimensional inspections on machined parts, tooling, and components using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. Interpret blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD models created in SolidWorks or similar CAD software to determine measurement requirements. Conduct quality inspections in accordance with ISO 13485, AS9100, and
ISO 9001
standards to verify product conformity and support quality assurance initiatives. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot measurement issues, optimize inspection processes, and improve overall product quality. Maintain detailed records of inspection results, calibration logs, and non-conformance reports to support compliance audits and continuous improvement efforts. Requirements Proven experience as a CMM Programmer with proficiency in MCOSMOS suite & Calypso software. Strong mechanical knowledge of machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and precision measurement instruments. Familiarity with industry standards including ASME codes & standards, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and AS9100. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; understanding of GD&T principles is essential. Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks for interpreting design models; knowledge of CNC machining is a plus. Excellent math skills for interpreting measurement data and performing dimensional analysis. Knowledge of manufacturing environments involving machining operations and tooling setups. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify deviations from specifications promptly.
