$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
JOB OVERVIEW
The Quality Receiving Inspector ensures that all raw materials and externally processed parts (machined, painted, or treated) meet strict aerospace specifications and customer requirements. You will verify certifications, perform physical inspections, and document results to keep production moving efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inbound Inspection:
Perform visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections on complex parts and raw materials received from outside vendors.
Technical Verification:
Use blueprints, engineering drawings, and purchase orders to confirm parts meet GD&T standards and customer specifications.
Tool Proficiency:
Operate precision measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges, bore gauges, and gaussmeters.
Documentation:
Complete quality records, dimensional reports, and scanning/filing using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Process Flow:
Review "travelers" and planning documents to ensure parts are cleared for the next stage of production in a timely manner.
Compliance:
Identify and document non-conformances and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Department.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment (Aerospace preferred).
Specialized Experience:
Background in receiving/source inspection for aerospace processes (e.g., penetrant, shot peen, anodize, paint).
Skills & Qualifications Technical:
Mastery of manual inspection tools and the ability to read complex engineering prints.
Standards:
General knowledge of AS9100 and calibration procedures.
Communication:
Excellent English (written and verbal) to effectively relay quality status to production teams.

Ability to act logically to resolve quality issues and maintain high ethical standards under pressure. •Important Note for Applicants•
Practical Exam:
All candidates will be required to complete a demonstration exam during the interview process to verify proficiency with measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges).
