Job Description

Job Overview The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all printed materials and finished products meet company and customer quality standards. This role focuses heavily on visual inspection of colors, graphics, and product quality to detect any imperfections or deviations from specifications. The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately identify color variations. Duties Perform visual inspections of printed sheets and finished products to identify imperfections. Detect color variations and inconsistencies within graphics and printed materials. Inspect products for quality issues related to printing, foil stamping, embossing, die cutting, and gluing. Perform final inspections prior to product release. Complete quality audit reports and maintain inspection documentation. Create and maintain Color Standard Books. Conduct testing such as rub tests and shaker tests. Verify that samples, loads, and products are correctly marked, tagged, and labeled. Ensure marked or rejected products are properly segregated and flagged. Inspect quarantined product when required. Assist the Quality Manager with data collection, ISO documentation, and other quality initiatives as needed. Communicate with employees when work instructions or quality procedures are not being followed. Review and understand work orders for each production area. Skills Must pass a color vision test. Ability to accurately see and distinguish colors and color variations. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Basic computer skills. Ability to stand, bend, walk, and perform inspection tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 55lbs during final inspection. Ability to multitask, including working in the quarantine inspection area. Ability to adapt to schedule changes and shifting priorities.
Pay:
$19.00 - $19.50 per hour
