Job Description

    Quality Control Inspector
  • Job Description
  • The Quality Control Inspector ensures that in-process and finished products meet all quality and dimensional requirements.
This role focuses on inspecting sheet metal and precision machined parts, performing first article inspections in accordance with AS9102, and verifying that all work complies with aerospace and
ISO9001/AS9100
quality standards. The inspector uses a variety of precision measurement tools and software to document results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Inspect in-process and finished sheet metal and machined parts to verify they meet all specified requirements and quality standards.
+ Perform detailed first article inspections and prepare First Article Inspection (FAI) reports in accordance with AS9102 requirements. + Conduct dimensional inspections using appropriate measurement tools to confirm that parts conform to engineering drawings and specifications. + Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine inspection criteria and measurement points. + Utilize micrometers, calipers, scales, gauges, and height gauges to accurately measure parts and document inspection results. + Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to evaluate part features and tolerances during inspection. + Update and maintain quality assurance (QA) files and documentation prior to fabrication to ensure accurate and current quality records. + Use Microsoft Office and E2 software to record inspection data, generate reports, and maintain electronic quality documentation. + Support compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality management system requirements through thorough inspection and documentation practices. + Identify nonconforming products and communicate findings clearly to appropriate personnel to support timely resolution.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality inspection, including sheet metal and machined part inspection.
+ Proficiency in performing First Article Inspections and generating AS9102-compliant reports. + Hands-on experience with sheet metal inspection and aerospace inspection processes. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings accurately. + Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). + Proficient use of precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, scales, and height gauges. + Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standards and their application in a manufacturing environment. + Ability to use Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting. + Experience working with E2 or similar manufacturing/ERP software for quality documentation. + High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Background in aerospace, electronics, medical, or commercial manufacturing environments.
+ Experience working within an ISO9001/AS9100 and NADCAP-certified facility. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation. + Solid organizational skills to maintain QA files and inspection records. + Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with production and engineering teams.

  • This position operates in a precision manufacturing environment focused on sheet metal and machined parts for aerospace and other high-reliability industries.
The standard shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will work with a variety of precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, scales, gauges, and height gauges, as well as computer-based systems such as Microsoft Office and E2 software for documentation and reporting. The facility follows ISO9001/AS9100 and NADCAP-certified processes, emphasizing accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established quality procedures in a production setting.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
