QA/QC Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Quality Control Technician (QC Tech) plays a critical role in ensuring that all products meet or exceed established quality and safety standards in a food manufacturing environment. This position supports continuous improvement by conducting inspections, testing, and documentation in alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety requirements, and regulatory standards (FDA, USDA). The QC Tech collaborates with production and quality teams to drive compliance and maintain accurate records that support both internal and external audits.Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with GMP, PPE, Safety, HACCP, and sanitation guidelines. Issue, review, and close batch records for production. Generate master production records and other required documentation. Review and analyze test results to verify conformance with established specifications. Perform and record in-process quality checks. Maintain and review facility, equipment, and environmental logs. Conduct facility, equipment, and environmental monitoring activities. Perform line clearance including lot number and label verification. Oversee materials management for sanitation of equipment and production areas. Assist with QA/QC projects and tasks as assigned by management. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of experience in food manufacturing and/or QA/QC. Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot areas for improvement Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer proficiency and ability to multitask effectively.Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in both office and plant environments. Frequent time spent on the production floor with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, chemicals, and industrial equipment. Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes. Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, and manual handling of tools and materials. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Willingness and ability to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays as required. Must maintain mental alertness, focus, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Pay:
