Job Description

Overview As a key member of the Quality team, the Quality Inspector reports to the Quality Manager and has overall accountability for parts' quality. The Inspector will be responsible for receiving, in-process and final inspections that will meet the customer's requirements and be in full compliance with
FAR 21, FAR
145 and another regulatory requirement Duties Verify that we have the data to perform the repairs required on incoming parts that is not on the capability list. Provide repair data to technicians to perform repairs Inspect repairs Complete travelers for repairs Provide repair data (repair manual specifications, CMM or customer provided repair specifications) to fill out 8130-3 or C of C if required Complete First Article Inspections Verify Material data and Certifications are per drawing requirements Verify outside service certifications Receiving inspection for the parts from outside vendors In-process Inspection Final inspection of manufactured parts Verify that part complies with drawing and purchase order requirements Complete paperwork for manufactured parts Complete first article inspection paperwork Verify material certs Verify outside process certs Part Mark outgoing parts Verify data and sign off C of C's System In process Inspections and functions testing for Haskel, Cold Storage, Wine chiller, & Water Heaters, Oxygen line pressure testing Clean Room Inspections NDT Inspections Teardown reports for repairs (not including water heaters) Conduct Repair Station Audits • Perform Quality Review of Travelers Perform Conformity Inspections for STC and PMA Projects. Complete FAA conformity paperwork 8130-9 or 8130-3 for STC and PMA Projects Review Engineering Drawings Prepare MDR's Review of offsite job requirements Skills The candidate must be a team worker, should be able to work independently, act decisively, and have above average planning and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Communicating job status to management is essential. Minimum 5 years' experience in a fast-paced aerospace environment as a quality inspector, experience with FAA Repair Stations is a plus
Education:
Minimum of a high school education with previous experience is required.
Working conditions:
Personal computer and related peripherals, telephone systems, and standard office equipment; minimum 40 work hours expected per week during company operating hours. Overtime may be required. Perfect attendance is a must!
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
