(in partnership with Eaglepeak) Riverside County (Inland Empire) Full-Time (Project-Based) | On-Site About the Job Hushmand Associates is seeking Soils Technicians to support major utility and infrastructure projects throughout Southern California. Positions will be employed through Eaglepeak in accordance with union requirements.

Primary Work Includes:

Field Soils Testing (Subgrade, Fill, Compaction) Nuclear Gauge Density Testing Sand Cone Testing Moisture and Compaction Verification Immediate openings are available for a multi-year industrial program, offering steady work with potential for overtime based on project needs. This position is ideal for technicians seeking long-term project stability within a union environment. Responsibilities Perform field soils and materials testing activities as required Maintain daily reports and documentation Coordinate with client and contractor Follow project specifications and safety requirements Pay Scale (Prevailing Wage•Operating Engineers Local 12) Field Inspector /

Soils Technician:

$64.18•$67.96 per hour

Apprentice:

$39.58•$59.36 per hour Applicable fringe benefits per union agreement Overtime and double time per prevailing wage requirements Benefits Health, pension, and training through Operating Engineers Local 12 Opportunity to work on large-scale, long-duration projects Consistent project pipeline across Southern California Position Requirements Must be a member of Operating Engineers Local 12, or willing to join Experience with nuclear gauge density testing preferred Experience with sand cone testing preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Ability to perform field work and lift up to 75 lbs Preferred Certifications Caltrans Certifications (Soils, Concrete, Asphalt) Nuclear Gauge Certification (Radiation Safety) ICC Soils Special Inspector ACI or other related certifications are a plus About Hushmand Associates Hushmand Associates provides geotechnical engineering, construction inspection, and materials testing services for utility, infrastructure, and industrial projects throughout Southern California.
