Job Description

Mechanical QC Inspector Job Summary The Mechanical QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting sheet metal parts, mechanical components, and electromechanical assemblies to ensure they meet drawing, specification, and workmanship requirements. This role supports incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection activities while documenting results and identifying non-conforming material. Job Responsibilities Incoming Inspection Verify manufacturer name and manufacturer part number against purchase order and documentation requirements. Inspect parts according to applicable part drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria. Verify part markings, date codes, lot codes, and other required identification per instructions. Review and confirm compliance with any additional customer, engineering, or quality requirements. Check packing lists against received items and purchase order requirements. Record inspection results accurately in the required system or documentation. Create Non-Conforming Material Reports for rejected or non-conforming products. Move non-conforming material to the MRB cage according to company procedure. In-Process and Final Inspection Follow Manufacturing Process Instructions and inspect electromechanical assemblies at required inspection points. Use product checklists to verify all required checkpoints at sub-assembly and final assembly stages. Review and follow approved deviations, customer requirements, and engineering instructions. Perform dimensional and visual inspection of assemblies to confirm compliance with drawings and specifications. Create Non-Conforming Material Reports for non-conforming products and move them to the MRB cage. Support production and quality teams by identifying workmanship or documentation issues. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of experience inspecting mechanical parts, sheet metal parts, or electromechanical assemblies preferred. Required Skills and Qualifications Ability to read and understand mechanical part drawings and assembly drawings. Ability to perform dimensional and visual inspections based on drawings and specifications. Knowledge of
IPC-A-610
workmanship standards preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as required to perform the job. Ability to use inspection tools such as digital calipers, pin gauges, and multimeters. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection results. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
