Full Job Description Role Summary:
The QA/QC Technician II supports quality assurance activities across manufacturing and distribution operations. This role is responsible for inspections, testing, data collection, compliance documentation, and reporting related to packaging integrity, feedstock quality, and chemical and physical properties. The position also supports greenhouse operations, laboratory coordination, and regulatory compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and testing of manufactured and distributed products. Collect, analyze, and enter QA data; prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports. Monitor packaging integrity, aesthetics, and chemical/physical properties. Support
OMRI / CDFA OIM
compliance testing and documentation. Manage defective materials, material review processes, and inventories. Communicate quality concerns to Quality and Production leadership. Inspect incoming poly film bags to ensure QA standards are met. Maintain lab equipment, inventories, and calibration records. Operate and manage QA greenhouse activities including plant evaluations, irrigation, temperature control, and long-term growth trials. Coordinate phytoassays, sample logging, shipping, and external laboratory testing.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred (horticulture or related field), or 1-2 years of relevant QA/QC or horticulture experience (or equivalent combination). Strong attention to detail, quality mindset, and documentation skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate quality issues effectively. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and climbing. Work performed in manufacturing, laboratory, greenhouse, and outdoor environments with exposure to chemicals, machinery, and varying weather conditions.

Detail-oriented QA professional with hands-on inspection and testing experience, strong organizational and reporting skills, and comfort working in both manufacturing and greenhouse environments while maintaining compliance and safety standards.
