Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Quality Inspector in Oxnard, CA , to support quality assurance efforts within a manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical information, and a commitment to maintaining product standards. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for identifying nonconforming materials, documenting inspection results, and helping ensure that finished parts meet customer and engineering requirements. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting while following established inspection procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
The Day-to-Day:
Inspect products, materials, and components to identify nonconformances against established quality standards. Interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and inspection requirements accurately. Record, organize, and present measurement data clearly and precisely. Collect and catalog representative sample parts for review, testing, or documentation. Measure parts and enter inspection data into computer programs for SPC analysis. Follow inspection sampling plans and maintain accurate attribute inspection records. Notify supervisors promptly when product nonconformities are discovered. Generate NCMR reports and properly identify and label the quality status of parts. File, update, and maintain quality records along with current engineering drawings. Communicate quality status and important inspection findings from shift to shift. Attend required training sessions, safety meetings, and department updates. Help support customer satisfaction by preventing nonconforming parts from reaching the customer.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous quality control or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when measuring, recording, and reviewing parts. Basic computer skills for entering data and maintaining inspection records. Ability to follow inspection procedures, sampling plans, and safety requirements. Strong communication skills for reporting product issues and shift updates. Comfortable working in a production environment during second or third shift hours.
Pay Rate:
$20.00 to $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
