Quality Control Technician Chemical

Job Summary We are seeking a Quality Control Technician Chemical for a 1-year contract opportunity in a chemical laboratory and manufacturing environment in Pittsburg, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented QC professional with hands-on experience testing raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods in a chemical, adhesives, petrochemical, coatings, or related production setting. The Quality Control Technician will support product quality, safety, compliance, and documentation standards in a structured lab environment. • Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods to verify compliance with specifications and formulas.
• Record, calculate, analyze, and report test results using SAP, Microsoft Excel, and laboratory documentation systems.
• Maintain accurate quality records, follow QC Standard Laboratory Procedures, and support compliance with SOPs and documentation standards.
• Maintain, operate, and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure reliable testing and accurate results.
• Assist with out-of-spec investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, customer complaints, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Follow all safety, health, environmental, PPE, OSHA, and chemical handling requirements while supporting 5S and lab organization. Compensation and Benefits

  Pittsburg, CA.

• Pay Range:

  $25 to $28 per hour.

• Day Shift:

  Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, $24.00 to $25.00 per hour.

• Graveyard Shift:

  Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, $25.00 to $26.50 per hour.

• Work Environment:

  Chemical laboratory handling adhesives, reagents, and related materials.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk frequently, and work extended shifts as needed.
