Position Description:
Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that products or services meet the established quality standards. Quality Technicians perform inspections, tests, and measurements on products or services to ensure that they meet the required quality specifications. They are also responsible for identifying and addressing quality issues, as well as implementing corrective actions. Quality Technicians work closely with other members of the quality control team to ensure that the quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Motivated individuals with a "Go Getter" attitude Being punctual to work to start up equipment and gather required materials to perform job duties Responsible individuals with the ability to hold themselves accountable for the quality of work being produced Willingness to learn and be cross trained on other pieces of equipment and/or departments Ability to seek critical feedback and adjust based upon information shared Fully embody the Somacis Quality Policy in all activities A team player mentality to help out when needed Enjoys working in a Fast-Paced environment
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Successful candidates are expected to be motivated, adaptable, innovative, responsible and produce quality results Ability to set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment Previous inspection experience a plus Ability to read and understand customer specifications, prints and other related documents Basic Visual Inspection Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and written Perform basic mathematical calculations High school graduate or equivalent
