Job Title:
Quality Technician Job Description The Quality Technician is responsible for performing standardized quality control tests and inspections on products, materials, and components to ensure compliance with both internal and external quality standards. This role involves recording statistical data, comparing it to existing standards, documenting non-conformances, and clearly communicating these findings. The technician will resolve routine questions and problems, referring more complex issues to higher levels, and will actively participate in continuous improvement activities. Responsibilities Conduct standardized quality control tests and inspections on products, materials, and components. Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards. Record statistical data and compare it to existing standards. Communicate and document non-conformances clearly. Resolve routine questions and problems, referring complex issues to higher levels. Participate in continuous improvement activities. Take on new activities and special assignments as needed. Essential Skills 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous inspection experience. Experience with lean and continuous improvement. Familiarity with inspection tooling such as micrometers, calipers, and thread gages. Ability to read engineering drawings (blueprints). Basic math skills with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. PC skills for documenting data. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to problem solve and prioritize tasks. Attention to detail. Capability to lift 10-40 pounds. Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day. Why Work Here? The role is contract-to-hire, providing consistent work with opportunities for overtime. Work Environment The work environment involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, hot conditions, non-toxic fumes, and moderate noise levels. Employees will be working with hand and power tools, and will be exposed to oil, grease, dust, metal particles, and sharp edges. Fans are used to manage the temperature due to the use of power tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
