6/22/2026 Job Description and Duties Under general supervision of the Supervisor I of the Transactions Unit (Unit) in the Personnel Office, part of the Human Resources Branch (HRB) within the Administration Division (Division) of the Department of Cannabis Control (Department), the Analyst II independently performs complex and sensitive analytical duties in support of human resources operations. Independently analyzes, interprets, and resolves advanced personnel, payroll, and benefits issues; applies and interprets laws, rules, regulations, and policies; conducts audits of payroll and personnel transactions; identifies operational trends; and recommends and implements process improvements to enhance compliance, efficiency, and internal controls. Also provides technical consultation to management and HR liaisons regarding payroll, benefits, and training compliance in accordance with California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) policies and other control agency requirements.
