Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bakery Production Manager to oversee all aspects of daily bakery operations in the cafe. In this role, you will drive production efficiency, ensure quality standards are met, and help maintain a well-organized, high-functioning kitchen. You will be hands-on in production while helping guide and support a small team. Your work will ensure that our pastries and baked goods are prepared safely, on time, and to the highest quality, supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional, house-made offerings to our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a growing artisan bakery program within a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities Lead and execute daily bakery production, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards. Develop and manage prep lists and production schedules to meet daily service needs, seasonal volume changes, and special events. Maintain organized systems for production, storage, and labeling. Manage ordering and inventory of bakery ingredients and supplies to ensure proper stock levels while minimizing waste. Oversee quality control procedures to maintain product consistency and uphold the restaurant's standards. Work closely with the Executive Chef to support inventory management, cost control, and new pastry development. Assist on the restaurant line during slower bakery periods if needed. Skills Proven experience in bakery production within a restaurant, café, or artisan bakery environment. Strong organizational and planning skills for daily production and inventory management. Ability to manage ordering and cost control effectively. Familiarity with food safety and quality control standards in a bakery or kitchen environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team. Line cook experience is a plus.
