Job Description
Job Summary The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for monitoring and ensuring product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the production process. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the highest standards required for baby food manufacturing, including adherence to GMPs, HACCP, and FDA regulations. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-process and finished product quality checks Verify ingredient accuracy, batch formulations, and production documentation Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and ensure HACCP compliance Perform weight checks, pH testing, temperature monitoring, and visual inspections Ensure proper sanitation, allergen controls, and hygiene practices are followed Document quality results accurately and in real time Identify and report non-conforming products and process deviations Place product on hold and notify QA/QC leadership when necessary Support internal audits, inspections, and corrective actions Enforce GMP and food safety policies on the production floor Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous QC or QA experience in food manufacturing required Experience in baby food, dairy, or ready-to-eat food strongly preferred Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a manufacturing environment Ability to follow procedures and enforce compliance consistently Preferred Skills Familiarity with FDA and USDA regulations Experience with quality testing tools and documentation systems Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Strong communication and problem-solving skills Work Environment Food manufacturing facility with exposure to cold/heat, noise, and production equipment PPE required at all times Strict hygiene and food safety standards due to infant food production Why Join Us Be part of a mission-driven team focused on infant nutrition and safety Stable work environment with growth opportunities Competitive pay and benefits
