Job Description

CMM Programmer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated CMM Programmer for a full-time, on-site position in Santa Ana, CA. This role requires a motivated individual to join our day shift team (5:30am-2pm) in a dynamic machine shop environment. The CMM Programmer will play a crucial role in quality control by conducting inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure all products meet high-quality standards. Responsibilities Conduct inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet quality standards. Identify areas for improvement and communicate quality issues with team members and management. Write CMM programs from customer-supplied .stp and Catia files using Zeiss CMM with Calypso software. Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as surface plates, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and profilometers. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records. Write AS9100 First Article Reports and integrate with Net Inspect. Essential Skills Proficiency in using Zeiss CMM with Calypso software. Experience in CMM programming and operation. Ability to write CMM programs from .stp and Catia files. Proficiency in writing AS9100 First Article Reports. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working with aerospace products strongly preferred. Firm understanding and demonstrated use of shop math. Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards. Knowledge of AS9100 and
ISO 9001
quality management systems. Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Ability to conduct and participate in cause and corrective action investigations. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a mid-size machine shop with around 45 current staff members and growing. The machining team consists of about 25 members, including 4-5 programmers. The facility includes departments for deburring, quality, and shipping, fostering a collaborative and well-rounded work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Ana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
