Quality Assurance Specialist Job Description The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the Quality Management team in a manufacturing environment by managing gage crib administration, tool tracking, data entry, and quality documentation. This role helps maintain accurate records, improve operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with quality procedures and regulatory requirements. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, documentation, and cross-functional teams to support consistent, high-quality operations. Responsibilities Administer and maintain the gage crib, including tracking tools, gages, and related equipment to ensure accurate inventory and availability. Track and manage tools and measurement devices, ensuring proper documentation, calibration status, and usage records. Perform accurate data entry into databases and tracking systems, including quality records, tool logs, and other operational data. Review, clean, and correct data to ensure integrity, consistency, and completeness across all quality and tracking systems. Support documentation and compliance processes by preparing, updating, and organizing quality documentation in accordance with established procedures. Assist with maintaining records required for AS9100 compliance and other applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements. Support quality systems by helping to manage records related to inspections, audits, and corrective actions, as directed. Collaborate with internal teams in a manufacturing setting to collect data, clarify documentation requirements, and support quality-related activities. Maintain accurate and organized documentation, including digital and physical records, to support audits and ongoing compliance. Work independently with minimal supervision to manage daily tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines. Communicate effectively with the Quality Management team and manufacturing personnel to ensure smooth coordination of quality and documentation activities. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline data entry, documentation, and tracking processes. Support audit-related activities by providing requested records, documentation, and data in a timely and organized manner. Assist with tool tracking and documentation related to manufacturing floor activities, as needed. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. At least 3 years of technical industry experience in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of AS9100 compliance requirements. Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Proven experience with accurate data entry and recordkeeping in databases and tracking systems. Ability to review, clean, and correct data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and records. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with internal teams in a manufacturing environment. Eligibility to qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience supporting quality systems in a manufacturing or similar technical environment. Experience with document control processes, including creating, revising, and maintaining controlled documents. Experience with corrective action tracking and supporting related documentation. Experience supporting internal or external audit activities, including preparing and organizing records. Experience in tool tracking, gage control, or measurement device management. Familiarity with quality documentation processes and requirements. Experience collecting data directly from the manufacturing floor and translating it into structured records. Ability to contribute to process improvements in data entry, documentation, and tracking workflows. Work Environment This is a full-time, onsite role based in Valencia, CA within a manufacturing environment supporting the Quality Management team and operations. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The work is primarily performed in an office and production setting where you will interact regularly with manufacturing personnel and quality professionals. You will use Microsoft 365 tools, databases, and tracking systems on a daily basis to manage data and documentation. The environment emphasizes accuracy, organization, and collaboration to support consistent, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of valencia, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
