Job Description

Volt is immediately hiring for Quality Parts Inspectors for a top leading Machine Shop in Spring Valley Ca. As a Quality Parts Inspector you will: Job Description Day to Day Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawings, shop travelers, and
ASME Y 14.5M
standards dimensional tolerance symbols. Perform dimensional/visual First Article, in-process and final inspection on product Use PC DMIS Software to program, measure, and inspect parts. Be knowledgeable of AS 9100 requirements relevant to assigned tasks and know where to look for a Quality policy, Quality Systems Manual, procedures, specifications and work instructions. Perform testing (hardness, bearing proof testing, etc.) on product to specifications. Perform FAIs (First Article Inspection) by recording values per procedure, Receiving Inspection, understanding sampling inspection plans, verify test documents, and material certifications. Review shop travelers for completeness prior to shipment of product. Perform Periodic Inspections of Tool Store area and be able to perform internal audits after receiving internal auditor training. Document and complete NCR (Nonconformance Report) and change request forms. Perform any other tasks, instructions or assignments received from supervisors, instructors or management personnel. This is a Full-Time Temp-to-Hire Opportunity The ideal candidate will have: Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 2 years' experience in a machine shop is required. Have knowledge of the manufacturing environment Have knowledge of Aerospace environment and products Knowledge and experience with PC-DMIS Software Knowledge of AS 9100 Aerospace Quality Systems requirements Must be detail-oriented, extremely thorough and possess good judgment. Preferred Skills & Qualifications The ability to stand for 1 hour a day. Ability to lift 30 lbs. Must be able to speak, read, and write English Must know GD&T and have the ability to read engineering drawings. Must be able to work weekends.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 6am-3:30pm (9 hour days) + OT as needed
Pay Rate:
$20-26 per hour •Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should
