Quality Control Inspector - Manufacturing - 1st & 2nd Shift

Valex is currently looking for Quality Inspectors to join our Quality Department on 1st and 2nd Shift. Valex is a producer of high-quality, high-purity products, and your role will be to inspect our products for material defects and grade of workmanship using visual, mechanical, dimensional, and functional inspection techniques. Inspections occur throughout our process, from raw material to final inspection of finished goods. The successful candidate will have familiarity with all of the above referenced inspection techniques and the tools and instruments associated with each. Some of those tools include calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. We also work from drawings, so experience working off of drawings is a plus. You must be experienced working with computers, and you must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Some of our material is heavy and/or awkward to work with, so you must also be physically able to lift, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. This is a full-time, non-exempt, bargaining (union) position and you will be expected to join our union upon hire (there is a nominal initiation fee and monthly dues). The hourly pay rate is $22.06 on 1st shift and $25.06 on 2nd shift.
