Briefly explain job details CMT Technical Services is seeking an entry level Construction Materials Field Technician to support construction projects throughout the Denver, Colorado area. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys working outdoors, performing field testing, and ensuring construction materials meet project specifications and quality standards.

$22-24/hour (DOE)

Full-time; hours may vary based on project demands What you'll be doing: Perform routine field testing of construction materials to verify compliance with project plans and specifications Conduct field tests on materials including: Fresh concrete (slump, air, temperature, cylinders) Soil compaction and density testing Aggregate sampling and observation Accurately document test results and complete daily reports and datasheets Communicate professionally with contractors, project managers, inspectors, and internal teams Maintain and safely operate testing equipment in accordance with company procedures Support additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor based on project needs What you have: High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 2+ years of construction materials testing experience in the field Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and clean MVR Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate reporting Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer reporting tools Ability to pass a drug screening and background check What will make you stand out: Experience working on CDOT transportation or public infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of
ASTM/AASHTO
