(most shifts start around 5:30 AM Job Summary The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure precast concrete products meet PCI standards , internal quality requirements, and project design specifications. This role supports quality assurance throughout the production process, from pre-pour through post-pour, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections, testing, and documentation to verify compliance with PCI standards and project specifications. Support quality assurance activities during pre-pour, post-pour, and material testing stages. Conduct pre-pour inspections including dimensions, reinforcement placement, strand locations, and form quality. Perform post-pour inspections of finished precast concrete products. Conduct wet and hardened concrete testing, including slump, temperature, air content, unit weight, and cylinder strength testing. Prepare, cure, and test concrete specimens to verify strength and quality requirements. Perform aggregate gradation and sieve analysis testing. Monitor and document cable tensioning processes and accurately record elongation data. Ensure samples are properly cured and meet required curing standards. Maintain accurate, complete, and organized quality control documentation and test records. Identify, document, and communicate quality issues to production teams for resolution. Follow all safety policies and procedures during inspections and testing activities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with production teams. Understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing or construction environment. Ability to perform accurate testing and follow standardized procedures. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment. Work Environment Fast-paced precast concrete production environment. Open schedule depending on crew assignment (pre-pour or post-pour/day crew). Regular 10-12 hour shifts , with occasional Saturday work. Work performed both indoors and outdoors , depending on location and task. Exposure to moderate to high safety risks; strict adherence to safety protocols required. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather. Requires standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts (up to 12 hours). Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors. Ability to work extended shifts of 10-12 hours. Ability to safely navigate production areas, climb ladders, and work at elevated heights. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Brighton, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $54080.00/yr. Company will provide benefit package. This is a non-union job.
