Job Description

Pay:
$60.00 - $75.00 per hour Job description: We're building Superpower — an industrial gas turbine designed to power the next wave of AI infrastructure. It's an ambitious, fast-moving hardware program built around precision castings, complex turbomachinery, and tightly integrated assemblies. At this scale, quality isn't a back-end function — it's what turns design intent into engine reality. As we build and scale our internal manufacturing capability, we're looking for a CMM Programmer who can operate at the intersection of inspection, manufacturing, and engineering . This role is about more than running inspection programs — it's about building the metrology foundation for a production engine program. You'll program and run CMMs, develop inspection strategies from first principles, generate audit-ready documentation, and help define the inspection capability required to support high-consequence aerospace hardware. Role Overview Program and operate CMMs for first article, in-process, and final inspections Create and debug inspection routines directly from 3D CAD models and engineering drawings Interpret and apply GD&T per
ASME Y14.5
to real-world aerospace hardware Develop inspection plans and measurement strategies for machined and fabricated components Generate clear, audit-ready inspection reports and support customer-facing quality documentation Work closely with machinists and manufacturing engineers to resolve dimensional nonconformances Support root cause investigations and corrective actions related to dimensional or process escapes Identify gaps in inspection capability and help specify, procure, and commission new metrology equipment Help stand up and refine in-process and final inspection workflows as production scales Maintain calibration, readiness, and reliability of CMMs and metrology equipment The Ideal Candidate Strong experience programming and operating CMMs (Verisurf, PC-DMIS, Calypso, Zeiss preferred) Fluent in GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and CAD model-based inspection per

Experience inspecting tight-tolerance aerospace or high-precision machined components Comfortable building inspection plans, first-article reports, and final inspection documentation Experience supporting AS9100 quality systems and audit-ready documentation Ability to identify inspection capability gaps and recommend new metrology solutions Hands-on experience in machining, fabrication, or shop-floor manufacturing environments Skilled with traditional metrology tools: micrometers, indicators, height gages, surface plates Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with engineering and manufacturing teams Thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability hardware environments What Will Set You Apart Experience establishing or certifying inspection processes in AS9100 or NADCAP environments Experience building or scaling internal metrology labs Deep understanding of inspection strategies for castings, turbomachinery, or complex machined components Proven ability to move from inspection concept to production-ready workflow Familiarity with special process inspection (X-ray, FPI, casting inspections, etc.) A mindset that sees quality as a competitive advantage — not just a compliance requirement Compensation & Schedule First shift schedule (overtime may be required) $109,000 - $137,000 salary , depending on experience ITAR Requirement To comply with U.S. Government aerospace technology export regulations ( ITAR / EAR ), applicants must be: A U.S. citizen A lawful permanent resident A protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) Or otherwise eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
