This hands-on role is responsible for inspecting fabricated parts, assemblies, and materials throughout the production process to ensure they meet ESS Metron's standards and specifications. Working directly on the production floor, the Quality Inspector will use hand tools and precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, and workmanship quality at critical control points. 1505 W. 3rd Avenue, Denver, CO 80223 Work Hours Option 1: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM Work Hours Option 2: 3:45 PM to 1:00 AM What You'll Do Champion a Safety First culture at all times. Responsible for managing all quality pass and fail decision points for in-process and finished products, including fabricated material and assemblies. Perform quality check in department to verify that product meets company standard and specification. Perform electrical and mechanical functional tests on all received parts to confirm that no damage was sustained during shipping and record results on appropriate reports. Perform dimensional and visual inspections on fabricated parts and assemblies using hand tools, micrometers, calipers, and feeler gauges, to ensure parts meet specifications. Create nonconformance reports for parts that do not meet product specifications. Learn and apply in-line production checklist procedures across multiple product lines. Inform appropriate management and production team members of rejected parts. Escalate and report all non-compliances identified across inspection points to QA management in a timely manner. Begin to learn the in-line production checklist procedures for product lines of the business. Complete first article logs and properly save them to the Quality tracking system. What You Bring High school diploma or GED. Two years of experience measuring electrical components in a manufacturing capacity or related field preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Hands-on experience using small hand tools and precision measuring devices (tape measures, calipers, micrometers) in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Some experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or related inspection role preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
