Job Description

Westaff Hiring Quality Control Inspector in Cheshire, CT!
Pay/Shift:
1st shift, $20-$24/hr (DOE) Manufacturer seeking Quality Control Inspector to support our precision metal-stamping operation. This role focuses on inspecting parts, documenting results, and communicating clearly when dimensions, appearance, or processes do not meet requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Part inspection — Perform first-piece, in-process, receiving, and final inspections of stamped components. Dimensional checks — Verify accuracy, workmanship, appearance, and conformance to specifications. Measurement tools — Use micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, and other inspection tools. Visual inspection — Identify burrs, cracks, deformation, contamination, finish issues, and other defects. Documentation — Record measurements in electronic systems and maintain organized inspection records. Communication — Report concerns promptly to production and quality teams. Quality support — Assist with sorting, containment, and identifying recurring defects.
Required Qualifications:
Manufacturing or QC experience Proficiency with micrometers and calipers Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to read basic drawings and tolerances Comfortable with computer data entry
Preferred Qualifications:
