Job Summary NutriScience Innovations (NSI) is looking for a high-energy individual to join our Quality Team! In this role, the Quality Assurance Specialist will work with our team to: (a) provide customers with optimal technical support and documentation support for our products (b) help manage our quality systems and documentation programs and (c) support and execute internal production processes We are looking for someone enjoys working hard, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and contributes positively to a collaborative team culture. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines. The Quality Assurance Specialist will report directly to the Senior Quality Manager. Job Responsibilities
    Product Quality Documentation:
    Prepare, maintain, and file product & general quality documentation: o Working with vendors to request documents, complete documentation packages, organize and file o Prepare customer-facing documents to support customer requests and product approvals o Maintaining and updating complete sets of documentation for the product line
      Supplier-Quality Management:
      Support the Quality Team in evaluating new potential suppliers and vendors based on internal qualification processes
        Customer Quality-Related Inquires & Requests:
        Complete customer quality-related inquiries and requests, such as filling out surveys, providing requested documentation, and answering technical and regulatory inquiries
          Quality Systems Program :
          Support Quality Systems program by conducting housekeeping inspections, temperature/humidity monitoring, and help ensure scales and equipment are maintained per PM program.
            Production:
            Execute and support internal manufacturing processes, maintain production records, and provide process improvement recommendations to the Senior Quality Manager
              Audits :
              Participate in internal, 3rd party, and customer audits as needed.
                Quality Issues and Complaints :
                Lead in the investigation & resolution of any internal and external quality-related issues.
                  Sample Requests & Inventory :
                  Process sample requests, maintain and update sample inventory, and package samples as needed
                    Lab Testing :
                    Identify labs, prepare & submit samples to 3rd party labs, and review results
                      Project Support:
                      Collaborate with Science/Quality Teams on project support items on an ongoing basis. Requirements
                      • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or a related field is strongly preferred
                      • 3-4 years of experience in Quality Assurance, GMP, and managing a manufacturing process is strongly preferred
                      • Basic math skills required, including the ability to perform calculations related to weighing, batching, and production activities
                      • A dedication to maintaining high-quality documentation - this includes strong writing skills, attention to accuracy and detail
                      • Experience with c
                      GMP 21 CFR
                      111 and/or 21 CFR 117 is a plus
                      • Computer aptitude with the ability to use Excel, Outlook, and project management software applications
                      • Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship building skills. We are looking for people that have the ability to communicate confidently via the phone and via email
                      • Conscientiousness and reliability are critical. Candidates must be capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining consistent follow-through on outstanding tasks. Self-motivated and a bias towards being proactive is a must
                      • Ability to multitask effectively and manage several projects concurrently
                      • The ability to work as part of a team and build and enjoy strong relationships in the workplace Work Environment
