This role offers you the chance to lead quality inspections for a company that manufactures intricate jet engine parts for some of the top OEMs in the commercial, defense, and general aviation sectors.
What You'll Do:
Lead Inspections:
Conduct final, in-process, and first article inspections with precision, ensuring parts meet exacting print specifications.
Mentor and Guide:
Provide leadership and mentorship to the inspection team, fostering consistency and excellence across all inspections.
Support Production:
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to uphold the highest quality standards throughout the production process.
Utilize Your Skills:
Employ your expertise in blueprint reading, GD&T, and the use of various inspection tools to maintain stringent quality standards, including compliance with AS 9100.
Ensure Accuracy:
Complete detailed inspection reports and other documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Mold Cast Creation:
Create mold casts as needed to verify internal dimensions (ID).
Defect Identification:
Identify and address both dimensional and visual defects to ensure parts meet aerospace specifications.
Drive Compliance:
Consistently adhere to the company's Quality Policy and AS9100 requirements.
What We're Looking For:
Blueprint Expertise:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
GD&T Mastery:
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) and dimensional symbols.
Detail-Oriented:
Sharp eye for identifying visual defects and ensuring parts meet quality standards.
Tool Proficiency:
Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and both manual and DCC Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Experienced with
Measuring Equipment:
Comfortable using a variety of measuring tools.
Team Player:
Able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Organizational Skills:
Highly organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate documentation.
Inspection Reporting:
Familiarity with completing and managing inspection reports.
Document Control:
Adherence to document control procedures is crucial.
Epicor Software:
