Job Description

Position Summary of the Quality Technician Role at
Altek Electronics:
Responsible for receiving materials procured by Altek Electron The Quality Technician directly supports Altek's Mission and Vision through a relentless focus on achieving customer satisfaction supporting the Quality Department to improve the Altek Quality Management System. The Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Quality Technician are described below, other duties may be assigned: Approaches all tasks with a focus on safety Supports internal and external customers with quality issues Create PPAP, PFMEA, FAIR, and Control Plan documents as needed Inspection of in-process, and final product Supports calibration activities Review of supplier documentation including first articles Maintains and updates Quality System controlled documents Interfaces with Altek personnel to ensure customer expectations related to quality are being appropriately addressed. Employs problem solving tactics & tools as part of everyday activity Contributes to RCCA activities Support systems/processes that the Quality department oversees or interfaces with such as: o Customer Complaints o Nonconforming Material Reports o Incoming Inspection o Reporting Quality metrics using an appropriate tool such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab, etc. Knowledge and Skills Required to be the Quality Technician at Altek Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing with others at all levels Strong attention to detail Strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and complete tasks within specified timeframe Knowledge and hands on experience in Quality principles, practices, tools and techniques preferred. Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes & procedures preferred Computer Skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to manipulate, interpret, and present data Education and/or Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality role or Electronics Manufacturing experience preferred.
IPC 610/620
certified or become certified within an agreed upon time frame (training provided). Process knowledge in printed circuit board and/or mechanical assemblies is highly desirable Minimum experience will be assessed on a case-by-case basis Commitment to continuing education related to Quality/Continuous Improvement. Working Conditions Work involves lifting materials and product up to 30 pounds.
